I am Michael Kojo Amoako from Ghana, West Africa. I completed my four years bachelor degree in Economics at the university of cape coast in the year 2021 where I graduated with a first-class honor and served as a Teaching Assistant with the School of Economics at the University of Cape Coast. I am currently enrolled on the ACECoR programme in MPhil Blue Economy, Governance and Social Resilience. I have a strong interest in the maritime environment, particularly the subject of the improvement of the marine environment and the sustainable use of marine resources. Because of the significant contributions made by the fishing industry—from supplying food and reducing food insecurity to creating jobs in all three economic sectors—it is important to ensure improvement in and sustainable use of marine resources as well as the environment in which marine activities take place. As a result, I wish to increase my knowledge and expertise in this field to fulfill my part of the bargain.
