Editorial Assistant - Journal of Fisheries and Coastal Management
Dr. Krampah is a research scientist and aquatic resources sustainability enthusiast. He holds a PhD in Fisheries Science with a specialisation in bivalve shellfish ecology and aquaculture. He also has a strong background in small-scale shellfisheries co-management, finfish and shellfish aquaculture, marine biology, and coastal/ocean conservation, and possesses high competency in quantitative data collection and analysis as well as science communication.
He is a recipient of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) 2021 Ocean Leadership Microgrant and the maiden Africa Higher Education Centres of Excellence for Development Impact (ACE IMPACT) Students Innovation Research Award (SIRA) in the Agriculture Thematic Area, both awarded for his research on laboratory rearing of West African mangrove oyster seed (larvae).
Dr. Krampah previously worked as a Project Support Officer on the USAID-funded Women Shellfish and Food Security Project at the Centre for Coastal Management-Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECoR), University of Cape Coast, where he supported and coordinated project implementation activities, and play a key role in the establishment and operationalisation of the West Africa Shellfish Knowledge and Outreach Hub (Shellfish Hub).
At ACECoR-CCM, Dr. Krampah currently plays a multipurpose role. He works as the Programmes Support Officer for the Shellfish Hub, where he provides technical support for programmes and activities at both the Hub and the Centre. He also serves as an Academic Coordinator, responsible for coordinating academic training and capacity-building activities at the Centre. In addition, he serves as an Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Fisheries and Coastal Management (JFCOM), providing administrative and technical support for the journal.
