My name is Naana Boadiwa Daaku. I am a Ghanaian and I hold a Master’s degree in International law and Sustainable development (LLM) and BSc in Environmental science from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (UK) and University of Cape Coast, (Ghana) with expertise in environmental impact assessment, Environmental Law, Environmental Management, and Sustainable Development. I am also a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA). I have received several awards form IAIA to my credits. I support the work of the Environmental Protection Agency in Ghana as a consultant, advising on environmental audit. I was nominated by the Ghana Academy of Arts and Science to contribute to their 2018 public debate symposium on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and National Development. I have submitted a paper on SDGs on planet and peace; Goal 12 to16. I am currently a student on the ACECoR project pursuing a PhD programme in Integrated Coastal Zone Management at the university of cape coast, Ghana. I seek a long-term career opportunity as a researcher, investigating the growing issues and challenges as well as also contributing to the crafting of the future of ocean governance for sustainable marine ecosystem development and ensure its effectiveness in the changing world. I believe the program will provide me with an enriched educational experience and equip me with lifelong skills that will be essential not only to the success of research program but also to the success of my future prospects of working to manage environmental resources to ensure sustainable development. The international reputation of the program also attracts such a variety of students and I am confident it will be a stimulating learning environment.
