Miss Chinomnso Chinazum Onwubiko, had her bachelor's degree in Animal and Environmental Biology from Abia State University, Uturu and her master's degree in Environmental Pollution and Toxicology from the University of Calabar.

Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Integrated Coastal Zone Management under the Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation thematic area on a scholarship from the Africa Center of Excellence in Coastal Resilience at the Center for Coastal Management, University of Cape Coast. 

She hopes to make a global impact with the knowledge and exposure from the programme. A lot has been said about taking actions towards the drastic changes in our climate that is already upon us, it is time to take actions and ensure that policies to this effect are enforced as well. 

She has volunteered for organizations that have stood for environmental justice. She is a member of the Nigeria Environmental Society (NES), Association of Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria and Women in Science (OWSD). She has also done courses on climate change with the United Nations and World Bank online learning platforms.

She is a researcher with an interest in climate change and environmental pollution.
