Miss Elizabeth Agyekumwaa pursued her bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She is currently pursuing an M. Phil degree in Fisheries Science under the ecosystems and biodiversity thematic area at the Africa Center of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, Center for Coastal Management, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. 

She aspires to become one of the top specialists in fisheries, to help contribute scientific information through research activities for stakeholders to make better-informed decisions on the utilization and management of our marine resources and to help build the capacity of young intellectuals in coastal and fisheries-related issues in Ghana and West Africa at large.
