My name is Georgina Tieku Frimpong. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Regional Planning. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Integrated Coastal Zone Management at the Africa Center of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, University of Cape Coast.
I am interested in knowing more about how climate change shapes the lives of coastal dwellers and I have taken it upon myself to undertake a research looking at the effect of climate change on artisanal fishing industry: The determinant of livelihood diversification among fisher folk in Ghana under the thematic area of climate change adaptation and mitigation. Climatic change is now a global issue, and the knowledge gained from this program will help me to contribute my share of knowledge in adaptation and mitigation measures.
