The Canoe and Fishing Gear Owners Association of Ghana (CaFGOAG) is collaborating with Centre for Coastal Management (CCM), University of Cape Coast to organize a day’s sensitization workshop for canoe and fishing gear owners in Ghana on the 2021 Fishing Closed Season. 

The workshop seeks to:

1. Mobilize support for effective implementation of Fishing Closed Season
2. Sensitize on the effects of IUU in Ghana’s Artisanal Fisheries to raise the level of awareness among Canoe and Fishing Gear Owners.
3. Solicit the views of Canoe and Fishing Gear Owners on addressing IUU and other challenges in Ghana’s Artisanal Fisheries
