The module will examine the types of fishing gears and crafts as well as fishing techniques including acoustics and fish aggregating devices (FADs) employed in marine and inland fisheries of Ghana and other countries. The design and construction of various fishing gears will be covered. Selectivity of fishing gears will be discussed.
