The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) Project at the Centre for Coastal management of the University of Cape Coast intends to apply part of its funding allocation to employ the services of three (3) experienced academic/research staff to fill the following key positions at the Centre. The positions will last for a total period of three years (2020-2022) but renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The appointments will be on a part-time basis involving a total workload of four (4) hours per week at the Centre. Females are strongly encouraged to apply.
Positions:
1. Professorial Fellows (2 positions)
2. Senior Research Fellow (1 position)
Interested applicants must be persons of Professorial status with distinguished academic careers and superior publication record. He/she must have over fifteen years (15) years professional practise in fisheries management and coastal resources governance, marine sciences, environmental science, physics, chemistry, mathematics or geographical sciences. Successful candidates must holder of a PhD degree and must have proven evidence of involvement in scientific project activities and supervision of postgraduate students particularly at the PhD level. Interested applicants must have distinguished academic, research or extension careers with proven records of professional experience in community outreach, scientific communication, agricultural extension, business development, entrepreneurship, environmental science or coastal resources management. The successful candidate must be a holder of at least an MPhil Degree with proven competence in project management for a period of at least ten (10) years. He/she must have an excellent record of initiating and establishing partnerships particularly academic-industry linkages with a drive to link the project to donor programs and the private sector.
