The Centre for Coastal Management- Africa Centrer of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM- ACECoR), University of Cape Coast, celebrates the promotion of Dr. Isaac Okyere to the rank of  Associate Professor, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to teaching, research, mentorship and service to the fisheries and coastal management sectors.

An accomplished fisheries scientist, Associate Professor Okyere is a proud alumnus of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, at the University of Cape Coast, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Fisheries Science, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Fisheries Science. His academic journey through the Department reflects a remarkable commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.

Over the years, he has built an impressive career in fisheries science, coastal ecosystems research and capacity development. He currently serves as the Research Theme Lead for Blue Economy and Ocean Governance of CCM- ACECoR and has led and contributed to numerous national, regional and international initiatives focused on sustainable fisheries management, ocean governance and coastal resilience.

CCM-ACECoR congratulates Prof. Isaac Okyere on this well-deserved achievement and wishes him continued success as he advances research, inspires future fisheries professionals and contributes to the sustainable development of Ghana's fisheries and marine resources.
