
Dr. Pèlèbè Edéya Orobiyi Rodrigue
Dr. Pèlèbè Edéya Orobiyi Rodrigue is a research Fellow for the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience Project at the Centre for Coastal Management, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has research interests in Fisheries management, sustainable aquaculture systems, aquatic biodiversity conservation and marine protected areas. He holds dual doctoral degrees- a PhD in Aquaculture and Fisheries from the University of Parakou in Benin and a PhD in Hydrobiology from the University Félix HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY in Côte d’Ivoire (2019).
Dr. Pèlèbè has extensive experience as a Principal Investigator, Associate Researcher and Consultant for various national and regional Projects/Organisations. His research and consultancy interests also extend to pollution and aquatic ecotoxicology, with particular focus on pesticide/plastic pollution and its impacts on marine and inland ecosystems. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Fisheries Science under the ACECoR Project from 2021 to 2024, and contributed to the implementation of project activities.
He has numerous publications to his credit and has delivered a number of oral and poster presentations at international scientific conferences and regional workshops. He is also dedicated to using science as a tool for sustainable resource management and community well-being.
