PhD Oceanography and Limnology

2020/2021 Academic Year

I am a young research scientist and a graduate of the University of Ghana with my expertise mainly in Physical Oceanography and Coastal Processes. I am very passionate about issues pertaining to the at which the sea rises particularly its impacts on physical processes such as coastal erosion and flooding. My background is solely Marine Science with a focus, particularly on coastal geomorphology. I have a strong background in remote sensing and GIS application. The main basis for my research interests is the impact of climate change on the coastal environment.

As a PhD (Oceanography and Limnology) candidate at the Africa Center of Excellence in Coastal Resilience at the Center for Coastal Management-UCC, I hope to develop my research skills in understanding the various oceanographic parameters along the coast of Ghana with respect to coastal geomorphology. Through the mentorship I would receive from this programme, I am confident of making an impact towards the contribution of knowledge in the field of oceanography particularly in West Africa and the world at large.
