Eric Duku is a Ghanaian by birth and studying for a Master of Philosophy (Integrated Coastal Zone Management) degree at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the same University and a proud volunteer for Ghana Wildlife Society.

Eric has an interest in sustainable planning and management of the coastal environment and its resources, and to assume advance research agenda in Integrated Coastal Zone Management to facilitate accelerated and sustainable development in Ghana and Africa. At ACECoR, Eric is expecting to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts, theories, frameworks, and management principles, approaches and practice in Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Africa.

He also expects to gain leadership and practical project management skills to promote sustainable development, advocate for safeguard policies for promoting healthy coastal ecosystems and help integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and planning in Ghana and Africa at large.
