PhD Integrated Coastal Zone Management

2020/2021 Academic Year

I am Kwasi Twum Antwi-Agyakwa, a PhD Student (Integrated Coastal Zone Management) at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast. I am currently working on the ACECoR project, exploring the use of an integrated data-driven approach to develop a decision modeling tool to better understand, visualize, and spatiotemporally predict the occurrence of multiple coastal hazards. The aim of the research is to aid the decision-making process in building resilience. I hold an MSc in Environmental Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatic Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa. I am a Professional Engineer and a Professional Trainee of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET, Ghana) and Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) respectively. I am interested in collaborating with industries to provide solutions to environmental and engineering problems. My research interests include climate change adaptation, Bayesian network and uncertainty analysis, and GIS and Remote Sensing applications.
