Richard K. Johnson is from Liberia. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in General Chemistry from Cuttington University, Suakoko where he served the post of Laboratory Demonstrator for freshman-level courses. Presently, he is a World Bank scholar at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience( ACECoR) pursuing the Master of Philosophy in Oceanography and Limnology at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. In 2018 he was afforded an opportunity through the Government of Liberia to participate in intensive training; this was organized by a team of researchers from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Energy Security in Monrovia. Richard is an environmental and oceanic advocate. He aspires to become a researcher in oceanography and limnology, primarily in the thematic area of ecosystem and biodiversity. His current research interest focuses on heavy metal concentration in mangrove and fish assemblages along the estuary of Mesurado river, Liberia. He hopes for more research collaborations and scientific communication in coastal related issues.
