A twelve (12) member committee comprising staff from Centre for Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development (CESED) and the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) held a 3-day workshop in Takoradi to develop an entrepreneurship curriculum and related teaching load materials for the delivery of an entrepreneurship training workshop for ACECoR. The committee worked in three (3) groups on different aspects of the curriculum led by Dr. Edward Nii Amerteifio (Director, CESED), Dr. Keren Abeka Arthur (Director, Design Thinking and Innovation Hub) and Dr. Mavis Benneh Mensah (Acting Co-ordinator of the Entrepreneurship Education and Training Unit, CESED).

The workshop, which was held from 28th to 30th July 2022, focused on eight (8) topics including Entrepreneurial Heart set, Entrepreneurial Opportunities in the Blue Economy Value Chain, Entrepreneurial Resources, Creativity using Design Thinking, Innovation in the Blue Economy, Business formation and operations, Entrepreneurial Marketing and Finance in the Blue Economy.

These topics will be delivered as units in a modular-based program for a period of two weeks. The first set of training is scheduled to start in the last week of August 2022.
