MPhil Oceanography and Limnology

2019/2020 Academic Year

My name is Emmanuel Sandy Ofosu. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. I graduated in the year 2018 and served as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (UCC) during my national service. I am also a volunteering field assistant for the Seafront Environmental Organization and Green Empowerment Network.

I am passionate about water resources and have always desired to study and find my place in the field of Oceanography and Limnology. My strength lies in analytical reasoning and the use of statistical techniques in research. I am currently pursuing an MPhil degree program in Oceanography and Limnology under the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) hosted by the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

At the end of this program, I expect to develop the capacity on the use of modern analytical and ecological model to address issues in the field of Oceanography and Limnology and also develop my career through an exchange program and in-service training as stated in the specific objectives of the ACECoR.
