Iddrisu hails from Nalerigu in the North East Region of Ghana. He successfully graduated from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) with a BSc. Environmental Science degree in high academic standing. As an avid discussant, with experience serving as Public Relations Officer of the Environmental Science Students Association (ENSSA), UCC and other student associations, Iddrisu has demonstrated great leadership and communication skills. These culminated in his award as the Most Influential Environmental Science Student by ENSSA (2017/2018). He served as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Environmental Science, UCC and subsequently co-founded the Green Empowerment Network, Ghana where he acts as Executive Director. Iddrisu is currently pursuing the MPhil. Integrated Coastal Zone Management under the World Bank’s Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) Project. His research interests include Sustainability, Blue economy, Governance and social resilience and other environment-related themes. With very ambitious dreams, Iddrisu looks forward to a great learning experience that would help build his capacity to become an erudite scholar, researcher and an environmental manager in order to contribute to solving both local and regional environmental challenges.
