Vanessa Ofoliorkor Blessyn, is a young environmentalist from Ghana, West Africa with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
On completing he undergraduate studies, she worked with the Natural Resources Unit of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Head Office-Accra and participated in natural resource initiatives such as the Ghana Landscape Restoration and Small-Scale Mining Project, UNESCO Man and Biosphere (MAB) programme, Environmental Impact Assessment among many others.
She is presently enrolled on the Masters’ programme in Integrated Coastal Zone Management at the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, University of Cape Coast to enhance her research skills and expertise in key areas of environmental protection and sustainability relating to marine and coastal ecosystems. This is in line with her interest and ambition of taking on roles and developing lasting strategies to global environmental issues.
