Temitope Adejoke Adewale is from Nigeria. She attended Wesley College of Science, Ibadan for her high school education. She proceeded to the Department of Wildlife & Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan, Nigeria for BSc and MSc. Degrees in Fisheries Management. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Education obtained from Usmanu DanFodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria.

Temitope Adewale did a one-year Post-Bachelors internship at the Nigerian Institute of Oceanography & Marine Research(NIOMR), Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria where she worked with the Extension Research and Liaison Services Director to produce extension guides for fishers. She has taught Agricultural Science and Geography subjects in High schools before she joined Lagos State-Owned College of Education known as MOCPED, Department of Agricultural Education where she has been teaching Fisheries based courses as well as Environmental education courses for the past eleven (11) years.

She is presently a PhD student in Fisheries Science at the Centre of Excellence on Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Her expectation is to become an expert capable of conducting and publishing research in Fisheries Science with expertise in climate change and environmental management to be able to ensure sustainable livelihoods for fishers, especially those in the coastal environment.
