This module involves the study of ecological principles as they apply to marine organisms at the species, population, and ecosystem levels. Current examples from literature, focusing on contemporary issues such as biodiversity change, pollution as well as coastal and Marine Protected Areas will be discussed. The interactions of the ecosystems as well as natural and anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems will be studied.
