Lomodei Evans is Kenyan born in Turkana central district, North-Western Kenya. Lomodei had his secondary education at Katilu Secondary School. Lomodei had his first degree at University of Eldoret where he studied Fisheries and Aquatic Science, and graduated in 2014 with a First-Class Honours. He later had his Masters degree in Applied Marine and Fisheries Ecology at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom through the Tullow Group Scholarships Scheme (TGSS), and Graduated in 2016.

Lomodei has worked for the County Government of Turkana as a Fisheries Officer where he was tasked with management of lake Turkana fishery and fisher folks and various small aquaculture enterprises around Turkana County. He is currently Tutorial fellow at the Turkana University College, department of Biological and Physical Sciences.

Lomodei is presently a doctoral candidate in Fisheries Science at the African Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast, Ghana. His ambition is to earn knowledge, skills and expertise in fisheries science and excel in conducting and publishing fisheries research with inclination towards understanding and modelling climate change impacts on fisheries to enhance posterity and sustainability in the fisheries sector world-over.
